Discover Danube Delta Nature Tour is an immersive nature-based program designed to facilitate exploration and understanding of the remarkable ecosystem of the Danube Delta. Located at the confluence of the Danube River and the Black Sea, the Danube Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rich biodiversity, unique landscapes, and cultural significance.

Mila23, the starting point in the routes crossing one of the most picturesque areas of the Delta. Letea, the village which most faithfully depicts the specifics of the Hohol village or the mirage of the wild land made up of lakes and channels, are just some of the reasons for an unforgettable vacation.

Prices in the table are expressed in euro (EUR), are per person, per tour and include VAT.

Booking

Bookings are based on 20% deposit. The payment are done online (payment link).
The remaining balance can be paid on arrival at our boarding point in cash or card (LEI/RON or EURO).

Cancellation policy

More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years).
Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.

The price includes:

Accommodation at the chosen guesthouse, in a double or single room for 2 nights;
Half board (dinner on the first day, breakfast and dinner on day 2, breakfast on the last day);
The evening boat trip on Lakes, on day 1;
The trip to Letea (one day), including the safari car to the forest;
ENGLISH guidance;
Transfers by boat, Tulcea – Mila23 and return;
Fees for visiting the Danube Delta.

Optional:

Single supplement 60 euro/person/program.

The price does NOT include:

Beverages, other than water at the meals;
Lunch – 16 euro/pers at Letea;
Insurance of any kind (travel, goods, etc.).

Children policy:

Children aged between 5-12 years pay 50% of the price of the package
Children over 12 years are charged as adults;
The supervision of the children on the tour will be exclusively the responsibility of the parents.

* The minimum age to join in this program is 5 years old (children born since 2021). Do not forget that the trips are long, the trip to Letea lasts the full day, you’ll travel by boat, with a safari car and on foot. It can be too much for a small child, especially in the summer when it is hot.

Day 1: Arrival & Evening Boat Tour

April, May, June and September:

14:30 Meeting & Boarding at Port Tulcea Aval
15:00 Departure to Mila23 (transfer done by a local company, approx. 1 hour)
Check-in & Accommodation at the guesthouse
Evening Boat Tour on lakes, led by our guide, with our open boats
Traditional Dinner prepared by the hosts

July

15:30 Meeting & Boarding at Port Tulcea Aval
16:00 Departure to Mila23 The transfer to Mila23 is done by our boats, on one of the most beautiful routes in the Danube Delta. The transfer lasts about 2 hours. Our guide will lead you to the pontoon of the guesthouse you will be staying in.

Day 2: Sunrise Tour & Letea Day Trip

Sunrise Trip: Departing 30 minutes before sunrise, this tour lets you witness the Danube Delta as it wakes up, with golden light and birds feeding intensively.

9:30 Departure to Letea by boat
12:30 Letea Forest Safari (by safari car + short hike)
14:30 Optional Lunch in a traditional household
Return to Mila23 via lakes and channels
Dinner & Relaxation at the guesthouse

Letea Forest Safari Details:

The trip starts with a 2-2.5 hour boat journey through wild, spectacular landscapes near the Rosca-Buhaiova Pelican Colony (the largest White Pelican colony in the world).
From Letea Village, you’ll take a safari car to Letea Forest (7 km ride).
20-30 minutes of walking on an approved route through the ancient forest, where you may see unique vegetation and wild horses.

Dessert: Letea Donuts

Day 3: Return to Tulcea

For those taking public transportation, we recommend scheduling your departure after 1:00 PM.
