The guesthouse Casa Pescarului (The Fisherman’s House) in Mila23, rated at 3*, is built and equipped according to very high standards (it was built with European funds).

The house has a traditional look, with a reed roof and natural colors. The living room and the bedrooms are equipped with very good quality furniture and the spaces are generous. The house is right on the Old Danube, close to the center of the village and some rooms have a view towards the water.

Besides the exceptional quality of the guesthouse services, the cuisine of this location also occupies a leading position, as in all our locations (few and good). Ecaterina Epifan (owner of the house) is permanently in the kitchen and prepares dishes with great art using traditional Lipovan recipes, of fresh fish and local products (whoever has passed the threshold of her house knows what we’re talking about). Coming from an old Lipovan family from this village, Kati has kept the tradition of local fish and roe dishes, now sharing everything with great love with the tourists who arrive to the Danube Delta. A stay at The Fisherman’s House is also a great culinary experience worth trying.

The menus offered in our programs are fixed, meaning that the same menu is cooked for everyone (with one cook we cannot offer à la carte menus). Of course, the menu is made after a prior consultation with the customers. If you wish a menu without fish or vegetarian, you will be able to receive it.

The lounge has 24 seats, and for larger groups we can offer accommodation in 2 separate guesthouses and the whole group can eat in the dining room of The Fisherman’s House.

The courtyard of this location is very spacious, you have at your disposal a comfortable pavilion, shady and equipped with sofas, where you can find a refuge in the hot afternoons or enjoy a good wine on beautiful summer evenings.

Everything is green and full of flowers, you have a place to sit in the sun or in the shade, wherever you like.

The house

Fisherman’s House has 7 double rooms with private bathrooms, 4 have matrimonial beds and a balcony, with a view towards the water, 3 are triple (2 single beds + an extendible sofa), without balcony, with a view towards the interior garden. All rooms are situated on the 1st floor.

Guesthouse facilities: own thermal station for heating and hot water, restaurant with air conditioning, wireless internet, TV, beach chaise loungers, playground for children, 3 pavilions in the courtyard.

Room facilities: air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, minibar. Both windows and balconies’ doors are protected with mosquito nets.

In the bathroom you have towels, soap and shampoo.

Smoking is PROHIBITED inside the house (both in the rooms and in the lounge).
