A refined location, ideally located between Dunavatu de Jos and Lake Razim, offers its visitors an area of more than 1200 ha of nature protected and cared for with great passion. It is one of the few places in our country where you can catch pike over 1m. For all our programs in the Danube Delta, we choose to collaborate exclusively with small, family-run guesthouses in Mila 23 Village, right in the true heart of the Delta. These charming houses, with just 7–8 rooms each, are owned and run by local families who have lived here for generations.
We prefer this type of accommodation over large hotels for one simple reason: authenticity. By staying small and local, we can offer you a genuine experience, not a commercial product. The atmosphere is warmer, the quality of service is higher, and the food is always fresh, seasonal, and cooked by your hosts, is 100% authentic Danube Delta cuisine.
Mila 23 is not “near” the Delta. It is the Delta. With no car traffic, no city noise, and no stress, the village sits on the old natural flow of the Danube. You’ll be surrounded by wild lakes and silent canals, where wildlife can often be observed right from the shore, directly in front of your accommodation.
