WINTER Photography Tours to the Danube Delta, to Holbina
A special program for brave photographers who want an unforgettable photographic adventure. Photo tour in the Danube Delta in WINTER! An absolutely special season for nature photos.
Dalmatian Pelicans and Great Cormorants in breeding plumage, Pygmy Cormorants, Ducks, Geese, White-tailed Eagles, Long-tailed Tits and many other species are now in the Danube Delta. If we also talk about a dream landscape, frozen, with mysterious mists, with a fantastic light, trees full of frost or glazed with a thin layer of ice.
There are limited tours in terms of number of participants, in each tour there will be a maximum of 6 people to have a maximum freedom of movement on the boat. The boat has 3 very comfortably double benches The boat is particularly stable and quiet, low enough for photographing birds and animals in the water “eye to eye”.
Accommodation is at the Holbina 3 Bibani Hotel. The resort is open all year round, has central heating and ensures all comfort in winter conditions.

The rates in the table are per persons, in Euro and include VAT.

A program proposal looks like (example program of 4 days / 3 nights)
Day 1
We are waiting for you at the embarking point from Dunavățu de Jos (you will receive all the details on voucher, after booking), here you can leave the car in a private parking lot, the cost is 5 euro/day (informative price), at the agreed time, it can be the first hour of the morning.
We depart at low speed towards Holbina, in the south of the Danube Delta, on canals and lakes (depending on the level of the Danube waters) that offer special landscapes and a rich fauna. It is not a standard transfer but a photo tour, we will stop whenever we have subjects to photograph, we will choose routes that include good places for birds. Depending on how you resist the cold, we take between 2 and 4 hours to the hotel. Here you will accommodate and then you can have lunch, to warm up after the trip. Then we go out on the water again, for the sunset light. Of course, we can stay on the water as long as there is light, then you have a late lunch (if you skip it for photography) and until dinner you have time to download pictures and charge batteries.
You will have dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Days 2 and 3
In the morning, after breakfast, we go on a trip, looking for photographic subjects: morning frost on the trees, sunrise, morning fog, birds, frozen landscapes, etc. We have thermoses with hot tea (alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the boat) and something sweet for energy. Around 16:00 we return because there is no light and you are expected with a good meal.
We know the places where the curly pelicans are in full bridal plumage, we know where to look for the white-tailed deer chasing wild lizards and ducks, we know where we have to go for spectacular landscapes, for birds and animals.
You have included the 3 meals of the day. You can have them in the hotel restaurant or to go (breakfast or lunch).
Day 4
Breakfast and the morning tour, then, after blunch, we go to Dunavățu de Jos, we are looking to take some more spectacular photos on the way. You’ll arrive in the afternoon, unless you have other requirements for the end of the tour.
Photo tours
Photo tours in the Danube Delta are made with an open boat, very safe, stable, with GUIDE. The guide is a very good connoisseur of these places, of the birds and nature of the Danube Delta, a man very passionate about the Danube Delta.
The boat is OPEN, do not have walls, windows or heating.

* Extreme conditions
In case of extreme weather conditions (heavy storms, heavy snow, snowy roads, completely frozen Delta), the tour is canceled and the money will be refunded in full.
