PRIVATE Danube Delta Guided Day Trip with OPEN Boat, to Caraorman, 8h

Discover Caraorman Village and Caraorman Forest on our guided day tours. Discover the Danube Delta’s nature, discover an authentic local village, the tasty local fish meals and a special forest, grown on salty sand.

Tulcea – Caraorman – about 8 hours

Departing from Tulcea on the Danube’s Tulcea Branch, you’ll enter in the Danube Delta after 15 minutes. From there, a chain of small channels and lakes will take you SLOWLY, to Mila23, visiting some interesting parts of the Danube Delta. You’ll stop in Mila23 Village for a coffee then depart on the Old Danube till Crisan Village then the direct channel to Caraorman.

The route is carefully choose by our guides, according to the season, water level, weather and … years of knowledge about the Danube Delta. The scenic route is very rich in fauna and flora of this nature’s paradise. This route will take about 4 hours.

A car will take you to Caraorman Forest. Similar to the Letea forest, it has a subtropical flora and a rich fauna (forest birds, jackals, roe deer and feral horses). After a visit of about an hour, of the forest and the sand dunes, you’ll return to the village for lunch (optional) at a hahols (Ukrainians) household.

After lunch, the sandy areas beautifully bordered by traditional houses, will guide you on the way to the boat (relaxed walk, about 20 minutes). The return route is on a slightly different route but as the Danube Delta is surprising, let’s see if you will recognize it. The return trip is about 2 hours.

The price of this trips is:

• 1-5 persons group – 350 euro/boat
  

• 6-10 persons group – 450 euro/boat
  

The recommended departure time is 8:30-9:30 AM.

Additional costs

You can take lunch at a local household in the Caraorman village. In this household cooking is made in the menu of the day system, the same menu for everyone, based on local freshwater fish. If you want to book the lunch, let the guide know about this in the morning of departure.

This is NOT a restaurant, no orders can be made upon arrival.

Visiting Caraorman forest: you’ll go by safari car or tractor with trailer in the forest, on the authorized route.

• EURO 8/person if the group is composed of at least 5 persons or if there is the possibility of joining another group.
• EURO 40/car for a group of less than 5 persons, without joining to another group.
