Step into the wild wonders of Dobrogea and embark on an exhilarating wildlife photography adventure! Explore this pristine region and capture the vibrant European Bee-eater in flight and the majestic Eurasian Blue Roller as it glides through the skies. From the comfort of individual mobile hides, guided by a professional wildlife photographer, you’ll have the chance to photograph nature’s finest moments in their purest form.
Dobrogea is one of the best habitats for the European Bee-eater, European Blue Roller, and the European Souslik (Ground Squirrel). Our local expertise ensures you’ll be guided to the best photography spots, guaranteeing incredible wildlife encounters.
Other species you might encounter during this tour include the Little Owl, Golden Oriole, Hoopoe, Corn Bunting, and Northern Wheatear, among others.
To ensure the best experience, the tour is limited to a maximum of 4 participants. We will use 4 individual mobile hides, positioned close to the Bee-eater and Blue Roller colonies.
The professional wildlife photographer guide will be with you throughout the tour, advising you on the best spots for photography, assisting with hide setups, and ensuring you’re in the right place at the right time to capture stunning shots.

The price is per person (accommodation in a double room), per tour, it is expressed in euro (EUR) and inclusive VAT.

We can do the transfers from Bucharest or Constanta to Tulcea and back.
Day 1: Arrival in Tulcea. After check-in at the hotel, we’ll have a brief meeting to introduce ourselves and go over the itinerary for the following days.
Days 2-3: Early start at 5:00 a.m. to set up mobile hides in front of the Bee-eater colony. You’ll have ample time to photograph the birds in the best lighting conditions. After a morning session, we’ll switch locations in the evening to another colony with a different landscape and background.
Day 4: Another early start, this time photographing the European Sousliks in a wild meadow. You’ll have the freedom to move around or use hides as you capture these lively creatures in action. We’ll visit a second Souslik colony in the afternoon. OR, if you have other species in mind, you can ask. Or, we can suggest you other targets, then, based on fresh information.
Day 5: After a relaxed breakfast, we’ll wrap up the tour.
Stay in a comfortable 3-star guesthouse or hotel in Tulcea, with options for double or single rooms, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom for your convenience.
All meals are included, starting with dinner on Day 1 and ending with breakfast on Day 5. You’ll enjoy three meals a day, with either local restaurant meals or picnics during photography sessions in the wild.
📷 Photography Gear: Minimum 300mm lens (teleconverter recommended), wide-angle for landscapes.
💾 Storage & Power: Extra memory cards and batteries (no charging during morning sessions).
🎒 Equipment Protection: Waterproof/rainproof camera bag.
🎚️ Tripod/Monopod: Optional but useful.
🌦️ Clothing: Long-sleeved shirts, trousers, sun hat, neutral colors (avoid red, white, yellow, blue).
🦟 Essentials: Insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, raincoat.
