Bears & Danube Delta & Dobrogea 10d/9n SHARED 2026

An Wildlife Journey Across Two Worlds

Begin Your Adventure in the Forests of Transylvania

Your journey starts deep in the Carpathian forests, where evenings carry the scent of the forest and the shadows move quietly between the trees. This is bear country and you’ll experience it from a professional wildlife hide designed to give you safe, intimate, and truly unforgettable moments with one of Europe’s most iconic animals. Watching a Brown Bear step out of the forest, hearing the leaves shift, feeling the silence turn electric… it’s an encounter that stays with you long after you leave. Here, nature is raw, powerful, and beautifully honest.

Continue With the Calm of the Danube Delta

After the intensity of the mountains, the journey flows south toward the Danube Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe’s greatest birding sanctuaries. The landscapes change completely: forests give way to wetlands, mountains to waterways, and silence to the soft sounds of reeds and wings. You explore the Danube Delta by boat, gliding through narrow channels and vast lakes as pelicans fly overhead, egrets hunt in the shallows, and migratory birds fill the sky with movement. It’s a world shaped by water and light, slower, gentler, but just as rich in wildlife.

A Journey Defined by Diversity

Throughout these days, you shift between two extraordinary ecosystems: the mysterious forests of Transylvania and the open, shimmering wetlands of the Danube Delta. One gives you close encounters with large mammals; the other surrounds you with thousands of birds in one of Europe’s most biodiverse regions. The contrast makes this trip special, thrilling wildlife moments followed by peaceful mornings on the water, all guided by a specialist who helps you understand what you see and why it matters.

Your Experience From Start to Finish

Your accommodation is arranged for all nine nights, with meals provided on a half-board basis to keep each day comfortable and relaxed. You enjoy eight full days dedicated entirely to wildlife, bear watching in Transylvania and birding in the Delta, always starting early, when the light is soft and nature is most active. The tour begins and ends in Bucharest, making your travel smooth and easy, so you can focus entirely on the forests, the wetlands, and the memories waiting for you in both.

Our Commitment to Conservation in the Danube Delta

Nature comes first in everything we do. Our tours are designed to minimize impact and protect the delicate ecosystem of the Danube Delta, ensuring that its rich biodiversity thrives for generations to come.

🚤 Eco-Friendly Boating: We use lower-power engines than typically required for our boats. This reduces water disturbance, minimizes fuel consumption and lowers emissions, keeping the Delta’s waters cleaner and healthier.

🐟 Slow-Speed Exploration: Our approach is gentle and respectful. By moving at a slow, steady pace, we:

  • Protect aquatic vegetation, essential for fish breeding and water filtration.
  • Prevent erosion and disturbance to bird nests along the shoreline.
  • Reduce stress on migratory and resident bird species, allowing for natural behavior and better wildlife observation.

🌍 Sustainable Nature Experiences: We believe in responsible tourism that prioritizes conservation over speed. Every tour is an opportunity to admire, respect and learn about this unique biosphere without leaving a harmful footprint.

By choosing our tours, you actively support a more sustainable way of exploring the Danube Delta. Let’s protect nature together, one slow, mindful journey at a time.

Our Commitment to Conservation to Carpathian Mountains

This experience is rooted in conservation. The hide was built with a specific goal: to reduce conflict between humans and bears. By feeding bears in this controlled environment, they are deterred from descending into villages, ensuring the safety of both locals and wildlife.

By participating in this tour, you directly support these efforts and contribute to preserving Romania’s unique natural heritage.
