Experience the wild heart of Transylvania on this exclusive 4-day/3-night photo tour, designed as an extension of our Danube Delta tours. Capture stunning images of brown bears from professional hides and a diverse array of bird species from specialized hides, all set against the breathtaking landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains.

Tour Highlights:

✅ Brown Bear Photography (2 Afternoons) – Witness and photograph wild brown bears from a professional hide in the heart of Transylvania’s dense forests. Our hides are strategically placed in prime bear habitats, ensuring the best chances for close encounters and dramatic shots.

✅ Bird Photography (2 Mornings) – Spend two mornings in bird hides, capturing  passerines in their natural habitat. The hides are designed for unobtrusive observation, providing excellent lighting and close-range photography opportunities.

✅ Breathtaking Carpathian Landscapes – Explore the untamed beauty of Transylvania, with its ancient forests, rolling hills, and rugged peaks, creating the perfect backdrop for nature photography.

✅ Half-Board Accommodation – Enjoy comfortable lodging in a charming Transylvanian guesthouse, with delicious breakfasts and dinners featuring local cuisine.

✅ Seamless Transfers – We take care of all logistics! The tour includes pick-up from Bucharest Airport and a comfortable transfer to Tulcea on the last day to seamlessly continue your adventure in the Danube Delta.

Children policy:

  • Minimum age to participate is 12
  • Children over 12 years are charged as adults
  • Responsibility of children’s supervision during trips belong to parents

Itinerary Overview

🛬 Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Transylvania

  • Pick-up from Bucharest Airport (morning arrival preferred). Latest pick-up hour is 11:00.
  • Scenic drive to the Carpathian Mountains (approx. 4-5 hours).
  • Check-in at our cozy guesthouse and enjoy a delicious local dinner.

📸 Days 2 and 3: Birds & Bears

  • Morning: Bird hide session – photograph a variety of woodland species.
  • Afternoon: Bear hide session – witness and capture wild brown bears in action.

🚗 Day 4: Transfer to Tulcea

  • After breakfast, we head toward Tulcea, the gateway to the Danube Delta.
  • Drop-off in Tulcea, where you’ll continue your Danube Delta adventure.

This program is running with minimum 2 persons subscribed.

Shared Program

Being a SHARED program, this means the whole group goes with the same car/boat, at the same hours (hours detailed in the program). Please be on board at scheduled time.

Photo tours

If you have target species you want to photograph, please let us know, we’ll do our best to take you on good places for this species (if it’s possible).

 

Booking

Bookings are based on 30% deposit. You’ll receive a payment link.

More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.

The remaining balance can be paid on arrival at our boarding point in cash or by payment link (LEI/RON or EURO).
