If you’re chasing perfect light, clean angles, and wildlife moments that feel almost staged (but aren’t, promise), this 4-hour photo tour is made for you. You head out right when the Delta looks its best: sunrise or sunset, warm tones, soft shadows, calm water, and birds doing exactly what photographers dream about.
You don’t need decades of experience, just curiosity and a camera.
Whether you’re shooting:
…this tour gives you the right opportunities and the right light.
And yes, your guide is a photography-oriented naturalist who understands angles, backgrounds, light direction, composition, and how not to scare away the subject. Always helpful.
During these hours, the Delta wakes up or slows down and that’s when everything becomes photogenic. You’ll have chances to photograph:
Pelicans in golden light
White-tailed Eagles on the move
Herons and Egrets feeding in soft reflections
Great and Pygmy Cormorants in dramatic poses
Grebes diving through mirror-like channels
and sometimes otters or even golden jackals, if the Delta feels generous
No guarantees, nature calls the shots, but these 4 hours are your best window.
You explore in an open boat, no roof, no windows, no shadows messing up your shutter speed.
Perfect for:
Basically, you get the freedom you need to shoot properly, not through plastic or glass.
These are the hours when:
Midday light? Let’s just say it’s great if you enjoy overexposure and squinting. We prefer the good stuff.
These two months offer the best balance of light, weather, and activity for a short-but-productive photography trip. If you want real moments, not staged setups, this is your perfect window.

This trip is done with an OPEN BOAT
The boat looks like in the photos on the website. The speed for our trips is low/medium, our boats are NOT speed boats. These are boats manufactured according to our concept.
All our boats have benches and backrests for a maxim comfort. Every person on the boat will receive a life jacket, mandatory to wear it during the boat trip. We want to show you the beauties of the Danube Delta, to see birds in flight and flocks of pelicans soaring.
*For groups larger than 10 persons we can use 2 or more boats
Please take these recommendations very seriously, the weather in the Danube Delta can be very capricious and you may suffer if you are not well protected.
