Immerse yourself in the Danube Delta’s breathtaking wildlife on this short but intense 3-day, 2-night photo tour. Begin with an evening photo session, capturing the magical light over the Delta’s wetlands. The following day, embark on a day guided boat tour, exploring hidden channels and reed-lined lagoons, where you’ll photograph iconic species like pelicans, herons, and kingfishers, along with other wildlife in their natural habitats. With expert guidance and access to the best locations, this tour offers a concentrated yet rewarding experience, perfect for nature photographers eager to capture the Delta’s wild beauty.
These are tours dedicated to enthusiast or professional photographers, who want to discover and photograph the rich fauna of Danube Delta. This program includes an evening session + a days of boat trips plus the boat transfers from Mila23 to Tulcea.
It is a photography tour, with flexible routes according to Danube Delta conditions, weather, water level or any other field information. Also, we can adapt the schedule according to bird flocks spots, the species of birds you would like to photograph or other types of attractions you want to photograph. We can spend more time in one place, track and photograph different birds and/or animals.
We are going with up to 4 people on a boat with 4 double benches (one person per line of seats). Every photographer can shoot on any direction.
The price is per person (accommodation in double room), per tour and it is in euro (EUR).

Day 1: The departure for this trip is from Port Tulcea Aval. In order to complete the payments (if any) and to communicate regarding the boat you will go to Mila23, we will be waiting for you at our boarding point, at 14:30.
The transfer to Mila23 take 1 hour and it is done with the local transport boat (we’ll do all the bookings). You’ll debark to the accommodation pontoon.
Once in Mila23, quick check-in then departure to the evening birding session.
Day 2: Our trip into the Danube Delta will begin early in the morning, before sunrise, to catch its magic light and birds that begin to feed. The morning tour takes about 5-6 hours and you will have the breakfast to go or on return to the accommodation. After the morning session, you will return to the guesthouse to have some rest. With 4 hours before sunset, you will start for the evening session. You will travel to different places in Danube Delta, the routes being decided on a day to day basis, depending on weather conditions, water level and our guides experience. After taking your last shots in the dusk, you will come back to the accommodation. Don’t forget to download your photos and recharge your batteries!
Lunch is optional (you can order it to the guesthouse). Dinner is at the guesthouse.
Day 3: After a relaxed breakfast (8:30 a.m.), this time without sunrise session, you will return to Tulcea, but now, in the morning, you will have the best light for this route. This is a good chance to have good pictures from the fantastic Danube Delta. Around 12:00-12:30 you will be back to Tulcea and end our tour.

📷 Photography Gear: Minimum 300mm lens (teleconverter recommended), wide-angle for landscapes.

🌦️ Clothing: Long-sleeved shirts, trousers, sun hat, neutral colors (avoid red, white, yellow, blue).
