Sulina, the only town in the Danube Delta. Don't miss this destination if you come to the Danube Delta.

The trip to Sulina is starting in the morning with a boat trip from Mila23 or Crisan (where you have accommodation). We go on the Old Danube to Crisan (for programs with accommodation in Crisan, start here obviously :-)) and from there straight ahead on the New Danube (Sulina Branch), to the Black Sea, all the way to the end of the Danube. On the right we see the city, we stop the boat in the city and continue our trip on foot, by taxi or bus (not included in price).

After doing a tour through the city and visit the proposed objectives, we make a break for lunch at one of our partner locations then you have free time to walk to the beach. Depending on the season, your time may be different. Spring and autumn you can go just to see the sea and then continue the trip along a route back (very spectacular), besides Letea sand bank. Summer will leave you for 3-4 hours access to the beach and then return home on the Danube.

Danube's Mouth - The flowing of the Danube into the Black Sea is done through an artificially stone channel of 16 km long, designed to avoid clogging the mouth of the Danube. It is only functional and not aesthetic. Heavy commercial ships pass through here sometimes generating waves big enough so there is no pleasure to go around. As you bucks already, we'll not go by boat to see flowing into the sea but we'll go ashore to see the sea.

Among the objectives that are worth visiting in Sulina we list the following:

St. Nicholas Greek Church was built between 186
