The lakes and canals of the Danube Delta are full of spectacle and magic! Choose a private kayak tour to Holbina 3 Bibani to explore the authentic wilderness of the delta. Paddle to and from the Holbina 3 Bibani resort every day, discovering the beauty and intrigue of the area.

Paddling is generally moderate in these tours, with the possibility of extending distances and options for more enthusiastic and experienced kayakers.

In addition to single or double kayaks (comfortable and safe), we offer you at least a unique accommodation, an oasis of 1270ha located on an island, which proudly bears the name of Holbina 3 Bibani.

Season: May – October.

Being a private program, you can set both the departure times and the desired routes. You have the unique opportunity to take a tour of Holbina enclosure, a place where speed boats can’t enter. This exclusive kayak tour offers an incredible local experience as well as wild adventures.

You can choose between 3 days/2 nights program, which include 3 days of paddling or 4 days/3 nights, which include 4 days of paddling.

Rates for this program may vary depending on:

The number of people in your group;
Of the period of the week in which you choose to come;

The rates are expressed per person, in Euro and include VAT.

The rate includes:

  • Accommodation in a double room, for the chosen number of nights
  • All meals (entry with dinner on the first day, departure with breakfast on the last day)
  • Boat transfers, from Murighiol to Holbina and return
  • Kayak rental for the chosen number of days (a place in the kayak) / paddle / life jacket
  • Instructor, will go with you in a single kayak
  • Access permit to the Danube Delta

Optional:

  • Single supplement 3d/2n – 100 euro/room/stay
  • Single supplement 4d/3n – 150 euro/room/stay
  • Lunch on the first and/or last day – 22 euro/pers/lunch
  • Bucharest (Airport transfer) – for 1-6 persons – 250 euro/one way

The rate does NOT include:

  • Insurance of any kind (goods, travel, etc.)

Children in kayak policy:

  • Children under 6 are free of charge (sleep in the same room with parents)
  • Children between 6 and 12 years old pay 50% of the rate
  • Children over 12 pay the full rate
  • Children up to 14 years old must participate with an adult (1 child / 1 adult)
  • The responsibility for supervising the children during the tours rests exclusively with the adult in their care
  • Only children over 14 can receive a single kayak
  • All children will wear life jackets as long as they are in a kayak, no matter how well they know how to swim.

Example of program 4 days/3 nights:

Day 1

Arrival at Murighiol, in the Star 2000 – Murighiol Parking lot.

* boat transfer to Holbina 3 Bibani can be done anytime between 08:00 AM and 06:00 PM.

** Round-trip pick-up times must be set before entering the stay.

The boat transfer is followed by check-in at the Holbina Hotel and a meeting with your guide for an orientation and evaluation session.

Days 2 and 3

Depending on your level and experience, guided and accompanied by the Discover the Danube Delta guide, you can choose between paddling in the resort (1270ha), paddling in the wild labyrinth of Holbina2 or paddling on Razim Lake to Gura Portiței.

Please note that the tour to Gura Portiței is only possible if the weather allows it. Strong wind or rain turns Lake Razim into a real danger.

At the end of the day you return to the comfort of the hotel where you can enjoy the sunset over the delta.

Distance by kayak: between 10 and 15 km/day (can be modified depending on the ability of the group).

Day 4

On the last morning, enjoy breakfast at Holbina, pack your bags, and depending on the time of transfer, take a leisurely stroll around or inside the venue.

Packing list

  • Seasonal clothes – necessarily a sun hat, long clothes, don’t let the sun burn you, thicker clothes for evening / morning. Necessarily thin waterproof clothes.
  • Sun screen
  • Mosquito repellent (anti-insect).
  • You can take with you hydration solutions, energy juices (NOT RedBull but sports variants) and sweets to have energy during the day.
  • Waterproof protections for phones and cameras.
  • Waterproof bags for clothes and equipment.

Kayak tours

In general, the tours we propose are around 15-20 km/day, but can be adjusted according to the level of experience of each group or your preferences.

In summer we recommend doing the tours in 2 stages of about 4 hours of paddling, morning and evening, with a longer break at lunch, for lunch and relaxation in the shade or by the pool. Every 2 hours you will have a break of about 15-20 minutes.

Baggage

In a kayak everything gets wet. We recommend that all luggage be placed in waterproof bags or to put the bags in plastic bags. The protection of electronic equipment as well as any goods taken with you in a kayak is your responsibility.
