Enjoy in an intimate background of one of the best experiences we offer for a guided boat day trip in the Danube Delta. Discover Mila23 Village, on a scenic route, on small lakes and channels.

This is a PRIVATE program, you’ll have a boat and a guide only for your party.

Tulcea – Mila 23 trip – about 6 hours

Departing from Tulcea on the Danube’s Tulcea Branch, you’ll enter in the Danube Delta after 15 minutes. From there, a chain of small channels and lakes will take you, SLOWLY, to Mila23 Village, in the middle of the Danube Delta.

The route is carefully choose by our guides, according to the season, water level, weather and … years of knowledge about the Danube Delta. The scenic route is very rich in fauna and flora of this nature’s paradise. This route will take about 2.5-3 hours.

In Mila23 Village you can visit the village, can have a traditional lunch (optional). After lunch you’ll return, mostly on the same route, but we assure you that in the opposite direction everything looks completely different (about 2 hours), the return speed is medium.

The price of this trips is:

  • 1-5 persons group – 300 euro/boat (7 persons boat)

  • 6-10 persons group – 350 euro/boat (12 persons boat)

The recommended departure time is 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Additional costs:

Lunch can be taken at a local household in this village. It is cooked on a menu of the day system, the same menu for everyone, based on local freshwater fish. On request, an alternative menu can be offered, with chicken or vegetarian. If you want to book the lunch, let the guide know in the morning of departure.

This is NOT a restaurant, no orders can be made upon arrival. Menu price is 15 euro/person, payment is made in cash, directly to the household.

  • ENGLISH language GUIDE
  • The boat for the trip (fuel included)
  • Fees for visiting the Danube Delta imposed by the authorities (ARBDD)

The price DOES NOT include

  • Meals
  • Beverages, other than water
  • Insurance of any kind (travel, goods, etc.)

Children policy

Children, regardless of their age, are counted as one person when the total number of persons in the boat is calculated (maximum 6 or maximum 11 persons in a group, depending on the boat).

The boat

This trip is done with an OPEN BOAT

The boat looks like in the photos on the website. The speed for our trips is low/medium, our boats are NOT speed boats. These are boats manufactured according to our concept.

All our boats have benches and backrests for a maxim comfort. Every person on the boat will receive a life jacket, mandatory to wear it during the boat trip. We want to show you the beauties of the Danube Delta, to see birds in flight and flocks of pelicans soaring.

  • For groups of up to 6 persons we will use a 7- seats boat (6 tourists, the guide and the driver)
  • For groups of 7-10 persons we will use a 12 – seats boat (10 tourists, the guide and the driver)
  • For groups larger than 11 persons we can use 2 or more boats

Personal equipment

  • Long pants and blouses with long sleeves to protect you from the sun
  • Sun hat (not cap)
  • Sunglasses
  • Jacket
  • Raincoat

Please take these recommendations very seriously, the weather in the Danube Delta can be very capricious and you may suffer if you are not well protected.

Bookings

Bookings are based on a 50% deposit.

Request a booking implies acceptance of the terms and conditions.

Payments can be done by card, bank transfer, PayPal.

Cancellation Policy:

More then 90 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 90 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
