One day trip at a slow pace, on a comfortable and stable little ship. On the established route, we cross the wildest places of the Sireasa – Sontea – Nebunu area. Optionally you can have a traditional lunch based on fish at a fishermen settlement.

Join a GROUP of up to 10 persons for a one day trip in the Danube Delta, departing from Tulcea.

The Danube Delta trip is made with a one decked ship for leisure, 9 meters long, very stable, built for tourism. The ship has a wide deck equipped with comfortable chairs and provided with a sun tarp under which you can take shelter on very sunny days. The travel speed is about 10km/h (it is a slow ship). Another comfort point is the toilet located aboard.

Schedule

10:15 a.m. – Meeting at the boarding point | 10:30 a.m. – Departure from Tulcea | at about 5:00 p.m. – Return to the boarding point in Tulcea

Meeting and boarding

For this trip, we start from Port Tulcea Aval, at 8:00 a.m. For finalizing the payments (if any) and the communication regarding the ship with which you will go, we are waiting for you at 10:15 AM.

 The trip takes about 6-7 hours.

The route starts on one of the most beautiful areas of the Danube Delta, Garla Sontea. We descend on Canal 36, enter on Garla Sireasa and continue on the canals around the Nebunu Lake, a nesting and feeding place for a lot of birds. For lunch, we stop at a fishermen settlement on Garla Sontea (here you can have an authentic lunch, with fresh fish, caught on the same day). The return route is on Garla Sontea towards the intersection with Canal 36 and then on the Danube, until Tulcea.

*Depending on the season, the water level and the weather conditions, the guide will decide which is the best route to follow.

The price of this trip is

EURO 50/person

The price is per person, it is expressed in Euro (EUR) and includes VAT.

This program is carried out with at least 4 subscribed persons.

The price includes

  • 1 seat in the boat for the Tulcea – Sontea – Tulcea trip.
  • ENGLISH guidance (guide member of APGDD)
  • Fees for visiting the Danube Delta imposed by the authorities (ARBDD)

The price does NOT include

  • Drinks
  • Lunch in a fishermen hut – Euro 14/person. Lunch payment is done to the host, cash in RON or EURO. ATTENTION! The only menu offered is fish based (fish borsch and fried fish)! If you do not eat fish, the only option is to bring your food.
  • Insurance of any kind (travel, goods etc.)

Children policy

  • The minimum age for participating in this trip is 5 years (children born since 2015)
  • Children pay the full amount, regardless of their age (1 place on the ship)

Guaranteed departure:

  • With minimum 4 subscribed persons.

Details

The boat

This trip is done with an OPEN BOAT

With no roof, tarpaulin or windows. The boat looks like in the photos on the website. The speed for our trips is low/medium, our boats are NOT speed boats. These are boats manufactured by the largest Romanian manufacturer of boats, according to our concept.

All our boats has upholstered bench and backrests for a maxim comfort. Every person on the boat will receive a life jacket, mandatory to wear it during the boat trip. We want to show you the beauties of the Danube Delta, to see birds in flight and flocks of pelicans soaring.

Travel speed – Our travel speed is low, we are specialized in slow trips, intended for visiting the Danube Delta.

All the time we will try to learn something about the places we travel through, about the birds and the flora of the Danube Delta. Each season has its beauty, each area of the Delta has something particular that we will help you understand in order for you to see what makes the Danube Delta so special.

Shared program

Being a SHARED program, this means the whole group goes with the same car / boat, at the same hours (hours detailed in the program). Please be on board at scheduled time for both.

Your failure to board, at the appointed time, means losing the day / stage of the trip. In this case, the cost of the trip or transfer is not refundable and we do not have the obligation to offer another boat / car.

Please take these recommendations very seriously, the weather in the Danube Delta can be very capricious and you may suffer if you are not well protected.

Cancellation Policy:

  • With more than 60 days before tour, half of the payment amount will be refund
  • Less than 60 days before tour, the payment is not refundable
