Meeting and boarding

For this trip, we start from Port Tulcea Aval, at 10:30 a.m. After passing the barriers from the port entrance, at a distance of 200 meters, there is the pontoon that says “DEBARCADER PASAGERI (passengers’ wharf)”. On the pontoon, you’ll find us in the Souvenir Store.

For finalizing the payments (if any) and the communication regarding the boat with which you will go on the trip, we are waiting for you at 10:15 AM.

The boarding will be done according to the indications of our staff. You will be called out and you will be indicated the little ship you are going with. Please do not board the first boat you find at the pontoon, from this place several companies board and you risk getting to another location.

Car parking

  • Personal cars can be parked in Tulcea, right in the yard of Aval Harbor, in the private, guarded parking.
  • The parking price is of Euro 5/day/car (parking price is NOT included in the trip price and is informative, it can be modified by the harbor administration, without notice).
  • For parking spaces no reservations can be made and the number of spaces is limited

The trip takes about 6-7 hours.

The route starts on one of the most beautiful areas of the Danube Delta, Garla Sontea. We descend on Channel 36, enter on Garla Sireasa and continue on the canals around the Lake Nebunu, a nesting and feeding place for a lot of birds. For lunch, we stop at a fishermen settlement on Garla Sontea (here you can eat an authentic fishing lunch, with fresh fish, fished on the same day). The return route is on Garla Sontea towards the intersection with Canal 36 and then on the Danube, until Tulcea.

*Depending on the season, the water level and the weather conditions, the guide will decide which the best route to follow is.

What we will see – We always seek to tell you something about the places we go, about the birds and the flora of the Delta, crowds of birds and places with specific flora to the season during which we make the trip. Each season has its beauty, each area of the Delta has its own specificity, and we will help you to discover it.
