Meeting and boarding

We are waiting for you at the boarding point of Ibis Tours (our partners for this program). They are located at the end of the Tulcea promenade (500m after Delta hotel), at the entrance of Tulco harbour.

Car parking

• Personal cars can be parked in Tulcea, in the courtyard of the Tulco harbour (it is a private, guarded parking car).
• The cost of parking is 20 lei / day / car (parking price is NOT included in the price of the stay and is informative, can be modified by the port administration, without notice).
• No bookings are made for parking spaces and the number of places is limited.

Day 1

After boarding we will have lunch and leave with the floating hotel towards Crisan. Next to Mila 36 canal, we will embark on the slowboat and set off on the route – Mila 36 Canal, Sireasa, Sontea, Nebunu Lake, Baclanesti Lake, Canal 22, Gorgova. The trip will take about 5 hours. In Gorgova we return to the floating hotel with which we will continue on the Sulina branch to the Madgearu canal, where we will spend the night.

The guide is the one who makes the difference between a trip and a journey. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide who will help you discover and understand the Danube Delta.

We will have dinner aboard the ship after sunset.

Day 2

In the morning, after breakfast (8:30 a.m.), we set off by slowboat to the famous Letea village, where we will arrive after about two hours of exploring the Madgearu canal with the floating islands called “plauri” (“reed isles”) and the stretches of water covered with water lilies. After visiting the village, we will travel with a cart to Letea forest. Here we visit the sand dunes and lush vegetation that have made this place famous. At noon we will return to the floating hotel.

In the afternoon we will embark on the boat again in order to explore the area of the famous lakes – Bogdaproste, La Amiaza, Cazanel and Trei Iezere. In the evening we return to the floating hotel near Mila 23 village, on the Lopatna canal. A good dinner awaits us aboard the floating hotel.

Day 3

In the morning, after breakfast (8:30 a.m.), we go again on a trip. We go to see the lakes in the area of Mila23 village, Ligheanca, Baclanesti, Furtuna, areas with many birds and dream landscapes. At noon we return to the floating hotel, near Baclanesti lake and we continue (aboard the hotel) to Canal 36 where we will spend the night. This afternoon is perfect for relaxing on the hotel’s open terrace, where you can admire the spectacular scenery during the travel.

Day 4

Early in the morning, at 5:00 – 6:00 a.m. (depending on the time the sun rises) we will make a sunrise trip, in order to enjoy for the last time (in this stay) the beauties of nature. We go to La Cotete Lake and exit on the Trofilca canal – very beautiful, lively and interesting areas, especially if they are presented by a well-informed guide.

Considering that the morning is colder than the rest of the day, please pack a jacket with you.

After this short tour, we return to the floating hotel for breakfast while going to Tulcea. The debarking will be at around 10:00 a.m.

Shared Program

Being a SHARED program, this means the whole group goes with the same car / boat, at the same hours (hours detailed in the program). Please be on board at scheduled time for both.

Your failure to board, at the appointed time, means losing the day / stage of the trip. In this case, the cost of the trip or transfer is not refundable and we do not have the obligation to offer another boat / car.

The Floating Hotel

The participants in this touristic program are accommodated on a floating hotel rated at 3*. It is a boat towed by a tugboat, it has 10 double cabins with 2 beds (twin) each of them with private bathroom. All the windows are equipped with mosquito nets.

The spacious living room has large windows on both sides offering a great view throughout the cruise. At the living room level, you have a covered terrace and at the upper level you have an open terrace where you can enjoy the sun or admire the splendid landscapes.

Please note that the size of the cabins is of 8 square meters. The classification standards of the ships are different from those of the hotel rooms.

The slowboat for trips

The trip in the Danube Delta is made with a very stable 9-meter slowboat, built for tourism. The boat has a large deck equipped with comfortable chairs and with a sun tarp under which you can take shelter on very sunny days. The travel speed is about 10km/h. Another comfort point is the toilet located on the ship’s stern.

Bookings are based on a 20% deposit from the full payment of the program.

The remaining balance can be paid on arrival at our boarding point in cash or card (LEI/RON or EURO).

The program is carried out with at least 12 subscribed persons.
