Discover our BIRDING tour along the Danube Delta shore and the Black Sea coast, on Via Pontica birds migration route. Three days of tours, starting before sunrise, together with a professional birding GUIDE. An exclusive shared small group of only 6 persons.
You have included: 4 nights of accommodation in Tulcea, in a 3* Hotel (breakfast included); 3 days of guided birding tours along the Danube Delta shore and Black Sea coast, by car. IF it will be possible, depending by the weather (wind, temperature), a day can be a boat tour.
From the total list of more then 360 species of birds found here, we’ll try to show you the most important for you and the largest number of species of the season.
The birds migration along Via Pontica flyway is an event every birder have to experience at least once in the lifetime. Both, springtime and autumn migrations, are intens and spectacular, mixed with the high knowledge level of our guides, it will be one of the most important birding tour of your life.

The price does not include:
- Beverages, other than water
- Lunch and dinner
- Insurance of any kind (travel, goods, etc.)
Children policy:
- Minimum age to participate is 12
- Children over 12 years are charged as adults
- Responsibility of children’s supervision during trips belong to parents
- All children will wear life jackets during boat trips
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival and accommodation at the hotel, you’ll have all the details about the hotel at booking. Check-in starts at 14:00.
You’ll meet the guide and find the last details about next morning departure to birding tour.
We are from here, we are all the time on the field and we always know where are birds, what species and how to approach to have a great view. So only then we’ll know (almost) for sure the weather forecast, where to go to maximize our opportunities to find the birds you want to see and what route we’ll decide for next day.
You can have the dinner in the hotel’s restaurant or to other good restaurants in the city (max 10 min walk).
Days 2, 3 and 4
Every day will start early, before sunrise, this way you’ll be on the proper places at the best moment of the day. Depending the season, the migration and the weather conditions we’ll decide if we’ll go by car or by boat (one day can be by boat).
The guide will take you to spectacular places, unusual places from the amazing Dobruja’s nature. The tours ends in the afternoon, when birds activity is low.
The car we use is a minibus of 8 places, with generous space for every passenger and luggage.
The lunch can be to go (recommended) or we can stop to a local restaurant (not many into the wild places we go). Dinner in Tulcea City.
Day 5
Breakfast at a convenient hour, to the hotel’s restaurant and the end of our program.

This program is running with minimum 2 persons subscribed.
Shared Program
Being a SHARED program, this means the whole group goes with the same car/boat, at the same hours (hours detailed in the program). Please be on board at scheduled time for both.
Birdwatching tours
The most important thing for us, when we decide the route, is to know your target birds list. Please see the birds check list of Dobruja and the Danube Delta and tell us the species you want to see most of all. Please download the list from here:
Booking
Bookings are based on 30% deposit. You can pay by card, bank transfer, Revolut or PayPal.
More then 60 days before the program you can postpone the trip ( you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 60 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
The remaining balance can be paid on arrival at our boarding point in cash or card (LEI/RON or EURO).
