Birding tour of 7d/6, with 5 full days of birding to the Danube Delta and Dobruja, with a professional guide and boat built for this purpose. We are here all year around and we know the best places for the species you want to see.
What is included: Transfers on water from Tulcea to Mila23 and back; 6 nights of accommodation; 4 in a 3* guesthouse in Mila23 Village and 2 in Tulcea; half board; a professional birdwatching guide; 5 days boat tours dedicated to birding, starting at sunrise, 3 by boat, in the Danube Delta and 2 by car, to Dobruja.

- Accommodation at 3* guesthouse, in double room, for 4 nights to the Danube Delta;
- Accommodation at 3* hotel in Tulcea, in double room, for 2 nights;
- Half board (dinner on the first day, breakfast and dinner for days 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, breakfast on day 7)
- ENGLISH guidance – specialized birding guide (during the tour – 3 full day trips, by boat and 2 day by car, for birding, starting at sunrise and the transfers)
- The transfers on water from Tulcea to Mila23 and back
- Fees for visiting the Danube Delta
Optionally:
- Lunch meal – the price is 15-19 euro/pers at each guesthouse or in Letea Village (payment directly in cash to the guesthouse)
- Bucharest (including Airport) transfers – 300 euro/car/one way for 1-6 persons

- Insurance of any kind (travel, goods, etc.)
Children policy:
- Minimum age to participate is 12
- Children over 12 years are charged as adults
- Responsibility of children’s supervision during trips belong to parents
- All children will wear life jackets during boat trips

Day 1 – 15:30 Meeting at the embarking point | 16:00 Departure from Tulcea (by boat) | Accommodation at the guesthouse | Sunset trip | Dinner
Meeting and boarding
The departure for this holiday is from Port Tulcea Aval. In order to complete the payments (if any) and to communicate regarding the boat you will go to Mila23, we will be waiting for you at our boarding point, at 15:30.The cars can be parked in the Port yard, in a private parking, at a cost of 6 euro/day/car (the parking price is not included in the tour price).
Transfer and accommodation at the guesthouse
The transfer is done with low speed, through one of the most beautiful parts on Danube Delta, searching for birds all the way, until arrive in Mila 23 Village. Usually, the transfer takes 2-2,5 hours. During the trip, we will have enough time to talk about the program for next day, details about boat rules, Danube Delta particularities.
In the evening, the host will await you with a delicious dinner.
Days 2, 3 and 4 – Half an hour before sunrise start the sunrise trip | Breakfast | Departure to the day trip | at sunset Dinner
This days, every day, half an hour before sunrise start an early morning trip searching for different kind of birds. The guide will choose the best destination every day, based on our fresh information about birds.
Come back for breakfast then start again on a day trip, on three different type of habitats, to maximize the chances to see the largest number of species of birds.
Breakfast and dinner at the accommodation, lunches (optional) on the way, during the trip. The guide will give you all the details every day.
Day 5 – Sunrise trip | 8:30 Breakfast | 9:30 Transfer to Tulcea | Accommodate in Tulcea hotel | The trip to Dobruja.
Also this transfer is done with low/medium speed, mostly on the same way as on Day1, searching for the last birds to show you.
In Tulcea we take you to accommodate in a 3* Hotel then start the Dobruja Tour. Lunch (optional) and dinner in Tulcea.
Day 6 – Trip to Dobruja
The departure will be again before sunrise, with breakfast to go, it will be a long day, we have many places to show you, to check new species. Come back in the afternoon, dinner to the hotel.
Day 7 – Breakfast | end of the tour
You will have the breakfast in the hotel, then our tour ends.
On this tour you can expect a generous number of species of birds both on the Danube Delta and Dobruja. Beside birds, fantastic landscapes, plants, mammals and insect you’ll discover now.

This program is running with minimum 2 persons subscribed.
Shared Program
Being a SHARED program, this means the whole group goes with the same car/boat, at the same hours (hours detailed in the program). Please be on board at scheduled time for both.
Birdwatching tours
The most important thing for us, when we decide the route, is to know your target birds list. Please see the birds check list of Dobruja and the Danube Delta and tell us the species you want to see most of all. Please download the list from here:
Booking
Bookings are based on 30% deposit. You can pay by card, bank transfer, Revolut or PayPal.
More then 60 days before the program you can postpone the trip (you will receive a voucher available 2 years). Less then 60 days before the trip, the deposit is non refundable.
The remaining balance can be paid on arrival at our boarding point in cash or card (LEI/RON or EURO).
